This Nikon 50mm f1.4 Nikkor-S.C is a manual focus, standard focal length lens with a very fast f1.4 maximum aperture. This was one of the most popular lenses to pair with the Nikon F and F2 cameras and has been used to make some of the most famous photos in Nikon history.
The Nikkor-S.C is the fourth version of this famed lens. It features a redesigned optical formula (seven elements in five groups) for improved lens performance as well as new lens coatings denoted by the "C" in the lens name.
This lens is the Non-AI variant of the Nikon F lens mount. It is best suited for early Nikon cameras such as the Nikon F, F2 or Nikkormat cameras that use Non-AI Nikon lenses. It should not be paired with later Nikon SLR cameras designed for AI lenses unless special research has been done to check for compatibility.
This lens has a 52mm filter thread.
